Heart failure (HF) is the most common cause of hospitalization in patients over 65 years of age and leads to 6.5 million hospital days per year in the US. Readmissions are common following hospitalization for HF; an estimated 1 million HF patients are re-hospitalized each year. This curriculum is designed to help participants improve their Quality Improvement skills by exploring how to successfully implement, and sustain, interventions that improve this important quality measure.

Learning Objectives • Identify and understand the advantages and disadvantages of trabecular, supraciliary, and subconjunctival MIGS procedures. • Describe the efficacy and safety of trabecular and Schlemm canal MIGS procedures. • Identify the patient characteristics that favor the use of trabecular and Schlemm canal MIGS procedures. • Adopt optimal surgical techniques when performing trabecular and Schlemm canal MIGS procedures.
